Do you need vaccinations?

Our nurses can provide comprehensive travel health advice and arrange for appropriate immunisations. Please arrange an appointment for a travel consultation at least 6-12 weeks before departure. Vaccines need time to take effect and some may require a course over several weeks.

If you are travelling abroad please complete and submit the travel form (below) in plenty of time (we require 6-12 weeks) before your journey.

Travel Vaccination Prices

Travel advice is covered by the NHS; however some vaccinations and prescriptions are only available privately. Payment for non-NHS services must be made at the first travel appointment.

The following websites will give you additional travel advice

Cervical Smears

Cervical smears are offered to all women who are sexually active and are carried out by the doctors or nurse. When you receive notification from us that your smear is due, please ring and make an appointment with the Nurse. Please tell the receptionist that you wish to make an appointment for a smear test.

Most women who have had hysterectomies do not require a smear – please discuss with your doctor.

You will be notified of the result of your smear which can take up to 8 weeks. When you receive the result, you may be asked to see the doctor. This is usually nothing to worry about and is usually just to discuss minor changes on your smear.

We advise all women who are sexually active to have a smear. Please contact the surgery to make an appointment or book via online access.
